It Happens to the Best of Them

My friend Tracy and I have said this many, many times in the past week. Our babies are growing up, and sadly that involves learning how to have a fit.

Here is what Allison looked like tonight when I wouldn't let her climb on the step stool and break her neck in the bathroom.

And here is what she looked like when I made her stop pushing the grocery cart so I could get her to bed. (It was just minutes later, but the flash makes it look like she's wearing a different pair of pajamas!)

In the past couple of weeks, she has been falling to the floor and burying her face when she is told "No" to something she really wants. It's not every time, just when she really gets her feelings hurt.

I can't say that I'm surprised. She's been watching the master for the past year. (Whoever invented the phrase "terrible twos" didn't yet have a three year old...I'll take two over three any day!)

Truly, Allie is a very sweet baby. The other day when I picked her up in her classroom, her teacher said that Allison is just "a complete joy". She is all smiles, and is so cuddly it makes my heart hurt sometimes.

Unfortunately, it happens to the best of them. I just wish it didn't have to happen so soon!

Why is it always so funny when it's someone else's baby?? Poor little sweet thing ~ I don't know how you tell that baby no!

Love the jailbird pjs!

I'm with T - I just don't know how you say no to that sweet baby's face. I mean, seriously, why in the world wouldn't you let her climb up on that stool?!? I have a feeling you and I are going to be looking like this if our husbands don't come home tomorrow!

Well Lisa, I promise your husbands are coming home tomorrow.....it's been a long week and we miss our families. Just don't let us find you on the floor like Allie...it will be most disconerting to us.
