Pick of the Litter

I was looking at this blog this afternoon when Lauryn came out of her room, awake from her nap. I can't even tell you where or how I found this blog. I have added it to my list under "Wonder Woman", because she truly is. This woman has newborn quads, and makes it look FUN! I can't even begin to imagine.


Lauryn climbed into my lap and we looked at the pictures on this blog of four beautiful babies.


The babies are lined up in a row in a lot of the pictures. Lauryn pointed to the screen and said, who are all those babies? I tried to explain to her that all those babies belonged to the same mommy.


She said, "But you're only supposed to choose ONE baby!"


I guess I could have gone into detail about how multiples are not like litters. You don't just choose the one you want and take it home with you. But it was going to involve more energy than I was willing to expend.


So I just told her that some mommies have one baby, and other mommies have more than one baby.


She seemed satisfied, and asked to see another "talking picture" (video clips on the blog). So we pressed on to ooh and ahh over these babies.


You really should read her blog sometime. Go back to March 2007 and you can read about when they found out they were having four babies. The babies were born in August, so that's another fun group of posts to read. I don't have a clue who this woman is in real life, but through reading I found out that they live very close to us. She actually delivered in the same hospital that Allison was born in!
