Ok, I have spent the entire day up to this point worrying about this misspelled word.
And lest you think I have no life at all, I did manage to squeeze in some laundry and wrapped a few gifts while fretting over the misspelling.
I have received several different opinions (including one from my husband!) as to how to solve this problem.
My husband said I should definitely change it.
So I decided to leave it the way it is.
(HA! Don't worry, he's used to me asking for advice and then doing something different altogether. I'm pretty sure that's why he loves me.)
Seriously, I did hear from several who said to change it, and still others said to leave it alone.
So now I will list my reasons for keeping the misspelled word.
And if you actually have a life (or something more productive to do like watching paint dry) you can go ahead and stop reading here, just know that the Lady Who Can't Spell will still be writing about her "daugthers" at this exact (albeit misspelled) address.
1). I am afraid to change the address and risk losing my previous entries. There is probably a way to avoid that, but I'm not interested enough to learn how to get around it.
2). I thought I'd just try to go in and change my address to the correct spelling, and then realized that the correct spelling is already taken by someone else. Someone who likely has at least a 5th grade education and can spell daughter. (That would explain my surprise when I first started this blog and found out that this title was NOT taken! "Really?! No one has used a misspelled song title for their blog heading?! It's my lucky day!")
3). My friend Meredith said I could look at it as an extra security measure so random strangers can't Google it and read about my children. Just my friends and family who now know I'm illiterate and love me anyway. Seriously, maybe she has a point. I guess I could pretend that I switched the letters around on purpose so my blog couldn't be found as easily. Yeah... that's what I did.
4). I really don't want to send out an email confessing to everyone that I misspelled my own title. And, I have a suspicion that it might get a little confusing. Because now, anyone who has my blog linked to their blog would have to change the link on their blog to be able to link to my new blog. Get it?
5). I don't want to find a new name altogether. I really wanted to use In My Daughters' Eyes because it's one of my favorite songs. And the lyrics pretty much describe exactly what it's like to be a mom.
So there you go. I'm leaving the misspelled word. And honestly, it IS making me crazy, but I'm not sure I have another option at this point. And as my friend Tracy pointed out, no one really looks at the address anyway (especially if it has been bookmarked so they don't ever have to type it out). At least the actual title on the main page is spelled right. Can I get points for that?

Way funny! I read your blog through Tracy's blog. I think that it give your blog some character. Just consider it a "mommy moment".
Thanks Lindsey! It's good to know you and Mere think I'm a total dud in real life.
