I think I heard Lauryn tell at least 4 different people today that her birthday is only three more days away. And just think...the day is only halfway over!
I think she might be a little excited.
I love Easter and I love the fact that her birthday is always so close to Easter Sunday. She was actually born on Good Friday, so we spent her first Easter in the hospital! She was 2 days old and still in the NICU. We had our own little Easter miracle that year when she was able to come home just two days later...completely healthy. But, that's another post...
Besides that first Easter, I probably have the most vivid memories of her second Easter, right around her first birthday. She was captivated by the Easter grass. It would literally occupy her for a good 20 minutes at a time. Looking at these pictures reminds me of just how fast time goes by. It seems like yesterday.

It's hard to imagine here being so little. I can imagine that that first Easter was a roller coaster of emotions. Praise Him that she was healthy and now is a happy 5 year old... ALMOST!! Happy early birthday Lauryn!
