Weekend Fun

Our girls are the only grandchildren on my side of the family.

Only grandchildren = Spoiled rotten.
I do appreciate the spoiling generosity, but my sister and I have marveled on many occasions at how these children have worked their charm and are, at times, rewarded for simply breathing.

Don't get me wrong...we had a fabulous childhood. But I do not recall being given an endless supply of Hershey Kisses and M&M's just for looking cute. And believe me, with my permed bangs and buck teeth, I was nothing if not cute.

Anyway, we visited my parents last weekend and the girls were surprised with some brand new outdoor springtime toys: A playhouse and Barbie car!! This was a few hours before the earache drama began, so both girls actually had a great time playing the whole afternoon.

Allison loved the car until it actually started moving. Lauryn's driving skills might have also been a factor.

Allison had close supervision while using the drill, just so you don't think we're totally irresponsible.

Thanks for the fun toys, Mimi and Pappy!

Yep, that's the same jeep the girls have. Paige does not like it one bit when it moves. Of course, Macy's driving is nothing if not spastic!

I love Allie's big ole smile in her playhouse!

Way to go Mimi and Pappy!

Ah yes, Mimi and Pappy. I also don't recall having the motorized vehicle and awesome playhouse when WE were little... something seems fishy! =)

WoW! Nice ride. Grandkids always get the better deal. I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. At least that's what my parents tell me when they're giving my child a cookie right before dinner. :)

Oh my gosh. That IS spoiled! Lucky girls. I got a good laugh out of your description of your past self.
