Things I've learned this week:
1. Ladybugs are fun to play with. They do not make good pets. They die in bug jars after just two days. So do doodle bugs. So do worms. Six year olds cry real tears when pet bugs die.
2. A full year in Daisies means you get lots of cool stuff like patches and certificates.
3. Apparently this kid is the biggest thing out there. Apparently his name is Justin Beaver. At least according to the kindergarten set.
4. Watching a photo montage of your child set to music will cue immediate tears. Teachers need to give notice when sending home a slide show on a dvd full of pictures showing your baby loving pre-school and playing with her friends. Otherwise you innocently put it in the DVD player and find yourself with not a tissue in sight, crying the ugly cry. And using the song "Let Them Be Little" is just cruel.
