Mother's Day

What a WONDERFUL weekend! My sweet hubby and precious girls took me to breakfast on Saturday morning (in an attempt to avoid the crowds on Sunday...it worked!), made me beautiful homemade cards and pictures, and gave me a beautiful flower arrangement.

We finished up the day on Saturday spending time with some of our very best friends. The weather was so nice (strangely cool for this time of year) and we grilled out and ate dinner outside on the new patio furniture...LOVE IT!

It's too bad the kids didn't have a good time, though.

Allie made this for me at preschool and I had to share it (click on the picture to enlarge it). I love how one of my most redeeming qualities is my ability to clean the table well. Love her :)

Had to get a picture with my girls before church! We needed our little sweaters this morning. Again, very strange for us to have such cool temperatures in May!

Being a mom is more wonderful than I ever thought it would be. I can appreciate my own mother so much more now that I have a little clone of myself to raise :) Thank you, Mom, for everything you taught me. I appreciate the advice you give me still...on a daily basis! Thank you for giving me such precious memories of my childhood. Our girls are so blessed to have you as their Mimi!

And what a blessing it is to be able to say that I adore my mother-in-law! Thank you for setting an example and for raising an amazing man who I am blessed to share my life with. Thank you for treating me as one of your own from the very beginning. Our girls are blessed to have you as their Grandma!
