We're Baaaack!

Here we are, back from the longest blogging hiatus in the history of blogging. Well, at least in the history of MY blogging. I'm sure I've said it a million times, but the older the kids are getting, the MORE busy we are! And summertime has been no exception. With just two weeks left before the first day of school, I am feeling the pressure.

Did we do all of the activities on our summer list? Did we "practice" enough school-type work so that they're not in shock that first week? Did we relax enough? Did we swim enough? Did I soak up every minute of staying home with my babies enough?

I think I'm in for a rough couple of weeks.

We've been busy, so we have lots of pictures. I am going to try SO hard to get a new post up at least every other day for a while. Don't hold me to it, but that is the plan.

For today...

B and I met in high school. Junior English class to be specific. We were both in band, but we didn't cross paths a lot, if ever. He was a drummer and I was in flags (the "flag corps" for those who are not familiar with East Texas high school band lingo). I did play the clarinet my freshman year, but it's not a memory I'd like to hold on to.

Anyway, so our paths finally crossed our junior year in English class. We sat in alphabetical order, and as luck would have it, our last names were practically right next to each other in the alphabet. Thankfully there were no "Q's" in our class that year :)

A couple of weeks ago we attended a band reunion back in our hometown. This wasn't just our class, but any former band members who wanted to attend. Because of that, there were several faces that I had never seen in my life. But the faces that I did recognize....it was so great to see them!
