One Day Down, One More to Go!

Last night was "Sneak-a-Peek" at school. The girls met their new teachers and found out who will be in their class this year! This was one big day they have been anxious about. The next big day is Monday when they have their first day of school!

I am so happy about their teachers this year. They both seem wonderful and I am excited about what this year will bring. Lauryn has several friends in her class that she already knows and is looking forward to seeing them again.

Allie really seemed to be excited about her classroom! She looked all around at every little thing, but her absolute favorite discovery was the home-living center : )
It was a little overwhelming having to visit two classrooms and get two back-to-school packets and sign papers for two kids. I don't have a clue how people do this with more than two kids! I suppose I will get used it it. I feel terrible because I didn't get a picture of Lauryn and her teacher. I took one of Allie with her teacher, but for some reason Lauryn's classroom was so much "busier". There were tons of families in there at once and I made a mental note to catch her teacher for a picture before we left, when she wasn't busy talking with other students.

Unfortunately my mental notes aren't as reliable as they have been in the past, and we walked out before I remembered to take a picture. I will get one on Monday, but I just feel really bad about it. Not off to a good start for this mommy!

I am hopeful that Monday will go very well. But I am also realistic and know that anxiety runs in the family and these poor girls come by it honestly! I just hope for both of their sake that I can hold in my OWN tears until I get to the car!
