Fourth Fun

One year ago we were celebrating the 4th of July in our nation's capital. Being in D.C. this time last year had to be one of the most awesome experiences for our family.

That's not to say we didn't have a great time at home this year. Its just hard to compare fireworks in front of the Washington Monument to fireworks in front of the shopping mall. :)

Our tradition (when we're in town!) is to go to the city's 4th of July parade with our best buddies, the Starrs. We got a GREAT spot this year and were in the shade the entire time!

After lunch and some naps, we headed back out for the fireworks that night!

I'm not sure, but I don't think these big kids belong to us. Our kids have much shorter legs. It was a wonderful day, celebrating our freedoms and being thankful to live in this great country!
