Today we had Allie's birthday party at a local swimming pool, and it was such a good time! She and two friends from her pre-school class all have August birthdays, so we thought it would be fun (and cheaper!) to combine our parties and go in together on renting out one of the city pools.
Best. Party. Ever. It was amazingly easy and I honestly didn't do a single thing other than visit with party guests. I think cutting the cake was the most work I did the whole time!

Lauryn was so proud of herself for working up the courage to try a water slide she had never been on before! She ended up loving it and went down about 87 times.

The party was a huge success and it was a great distraction (for me at least) this weekend. I am working hard to be brave about Monday, when all my chicks will leave the nest...at least until 3:30. I think I'm going to be ok. Lots of tears have released some anxiety and lots of prayers have calmed my soul...I am moving on to this new beginning with hope and excitement!
