Two Cute

Ok.

I think a week just went by.

I can't be sure, but by the looks of things it is now Friday and another weekend is here.

We're definitely ready for a weekend, that's for sure.

Last Friday I took Allison to get her two year pictures taken. I realize that she turned two in August, but we had many obstacles to overcome in an effort to make it to the studio.

Number one being bright, red mosquito bites on her face. As soon as they cleared up, she would get more.

Can I tell you how ready I am for Fall and for those little twerps to go AWAY!??

Anyway, we finally made it to the photo shoot. It was a mess. And it was not the fault of my precious two year old.

I am literally too exhausted to go into detail. But I will share the one defining moment of the entire session that will sum it all up for you.

Allie did not care for the 17 year old who had been put in charge of creating the most beautiful two year old photograph anyone has ever seen. (I realize my expectations might have been a little high, but a mom can hope...)

He didn't speak to her or try to warm up to her ahead of time. We walked in and he looked at her and asked if she wanted to get her picture taken.

Um, let me think...

Her tears started to flow and he froze. He grabbed the infamous stuffed animal (a cat) and put it on top of his head.

Have we seen that somewhere before??

When that didn't work (duh), he reached WAAAY down into his bag of tricks and said, "THHTPFFFFT....Eeewww, the kitty TOOOTED!!"

Yes, you read that right.

Why he thought a two year old little girl would find that funny, I will never know.

I think he was mortified as soon as he did it, though. At least he realized that it might not be appropriate, and he'll hopefully spare the next unsuspecting family the ole' "kitty flatulence" routine.

We ended up with three semi-decent poses. Not quite what I was imagining but it worked. She ended up smiling a lot, but he never actually pushed the button on the camera when she was doing it. But then, I'm not a photographer so what do I know about getting good pictures.

I thought it was cute to look at the girls' two year pictures side by side. Allie wore the same dress Lauryn wore when she turned two. I wish we had a scanner, but this will give you an idea!

Happy Friday!

They are like night and day!

I think her pic turned out pretty cute, though. Awesome story. Kitty flatulence. Love it.

Woooow.... the experience sounds pretty torturous. The kitty tooted? Did he mistake her for a 10 year old boy??

:( But the picture IS really cute. I like that you had her wear the same dress as Lauryn.
