Since news coverage is all we've seen on tv this weekend, Lauryn has had a lot of questions. We were completely speechless when, unprompted, she asked God in her prayer Friday night to make the hurricane "smaller like the regular rain we get here" and to "please help people who are hurt". Amazing to witness God's love in the heart of a 4 year old.
On a lighter note, we had a wonderful afternoon at Brent's company picnic. The weather was completely perfect. Absolutely beautiful with temperatures in the low 80's and a cool breeze.
The girls had their faces painted! Allison was hesitant at first, even after watching Lauryn. But by the time we finished eating lunch, she had changed her mind so we went back for her turn.
I asked her what she wanted on her face. The only thing she was consistent about was that she wanted it to be "oransh" (orange). So we ended up with orange butterflies, and she was thrilled.
And of course Lauryn had no trouble deciding that she wanted to be a princess!
Lauryn desperately wanted to try climbing the rock wall. She was so excited!
Enjoying the pretty weather!

One of the greatest moments for Lauryn was when she won a door prize!
And we were thankful, too. This little treat entertained her well past dinnertime. Since the girls didn't get naps today, we were happy to welcome "Hannimal Tanna" into our home to provide some much needed downtime for all of us!
Never mind that this child has never seen a single episode of Hannah Montana. Anything that comes with a guitar is number one in her book!

Yay for Lauren's door prize! Zac saw a Hannah Montana backpack and thought she was pretty. (!?!) They start so young.... lol!
LOVE the pictures!!! I'm still cracking up about Hanimal Tanna. That is classic.
You probably don't want to hear this, but.... I just can't get over how grown up the girls are looking! I only saw them six months ago... I guess they do lots of growing in that amount of time! They're just so precious!
SO sweet that she prayed for the hurricane victims. What a thoughtful little girl. You have to be a proud Mommy when your little four yr old is already so selfless.
That is some FANCY face paint. It almost makes me want that crusty stuff that won't wash off on MY face!
