Well, that moment has arrived! It was so fun to see the excitement on her face. In choir, they sing for about 30 minutes then have a Bible Study led by the children's minister. It's such a great mid-week activity for the girls. I can. NOT. WAIT. to see their first performance in church, standing up at the front together wearing their little choir robes. Precious!
Leaving for choir!
This morning Allie started pre-k! I know. It's insane. Funny how she was just born yesterday, and today she's walking into a big building with a huge backpack on her shoulders.
She wanted Tinkerbelle to be in the picture too.
So excited to be in the Turtles' class!
One thing that shocked me was that each child was required to bring a three ring binder and a pencil bag. To PRE-K.
They will be sending home SIGHT WORDS in that pencil bag each week.
Again...do they not realize that yesterday these children were babies? I might need to remind them of that.
We got to school a little early so we sat in the car for a bit. Allie kept asking if it was time to go in can we go in now when are we going in. So we went in.
We got to school a little early so we sat in the car for a bit. Allie kept asking if it was time to go in can we go in now when are we going in. So we went in.
Then we sat on the couches and waited for the classrooms to open. She asked another fifty-two times if it was time to go in.
I think she was ready to go in.
So we walked to her classroom and she immediately headed for the table with puzzles and games. I had to ask her to come back and give me a hug (she did.)
Then when I said "goodbye" and she never even turned around.
It was a little depressing to realize this was the moment in time that I am no longer needed by my baby girl. She's getting big and independent. And I'm secretly thrilled for her.
That's not to say I didn't need a little pick-me-up after being abandoned by my baby. So I took this amazing lady's advice and treated myself to pure deliciousness, you know, to help me get through the day.
It worked.

Yay!! I can't wait for Avery to start. And, lately, sad to say, I can't wait for Kyle now too. He's such a pill these days. Avery starts on Wednesday. Woohoo!!
