You know you're a mom when...

...this could easily become a weekly blog topic.

Of course there are many times when it's obvious I'm a mom. Regular, everyday people don't go around saying things like "put your poo-poo in the potty" or "get your shoe out of your mouth".

But today was a first.

I am generally thrilled that my sweet husband doesn't have much of an opinion when it comes to my accessorizing. He compliments my earrings and necklaces every time I wear them. I think he just likes it when I actually dress up.

Unfortunately today was the day that he didn't pay attention to my accessories.

Oh, yes. It's an Elmo clip in my hair.

I wore it.

To church.

So, my question is, how do you reach that level where you honestly don't realize that you grabbed a hot pink Elmo clip instead of your usual "blend in" brown one in your rush to get out the door in time for church?

Unfortunately it was easily 4:00 in the afternoon before I noticed the faux pas.

But, the reason I didn't notice it is because I never had to readjust my hair! That clip held my hair in one place for an entire afternoon, which never happens when I wear my own clips.

I might have to go out and buy some hot pink shirts. At least my new clip would match my outfit.

I keep thinking about this. I can't believe not one single person commented! And if it holds your hair so well- paint it brown!

I think this is SOOOOO funny!
My "you know your a mom moment" was when I discovered I was taking more time deciding between Blues Clues vs Dora for a band-aide - FOR MYSELF. It took me longer to pick a bandage than my shoes. That is sad!
BTW, not ignoring your last email about a playdate....just waiting for life to settle down a bit!

I wish I could have seen the look on the face of the person sitting behind you in church. You're just giving a shout out to your childhood. Yeah, that's it.

No you didn't...

I believe that your eyesight is going to the same place that your memory went!
