I guess it's how they learn, but it seems that lately ALL of our time is spent in a back and forth dialogue of questions and answers. Lauryn is so curious (and smart) and honestly, it is exhausting.
I try so hard to come up with answers for every.single.question. There are times when I just simply tell her I don't know. And it's the honest truth.
I think my 4 year old is smarter than me.
Here are some questions I've been asked lately:
- How do baby elephants get in their mommy’s tummy?
Ok, I'm not even ready to address the human baby question.
-Do the Olympic swimmers wear their swimsuits on the plane to China?
I suppose it would save a little space in their suitcase and with all the airline charges these days you have to cut corners somewhere.
-I was online reading a news article about Estelle Getty and she asked who that lady was. I explained that she used to be on tv.
She asks, "How do people get out of the tv?"
Poltergeist, anyone?
-"Why can't you use a cell phone on the plane?"
How do you explain electromagnetic interference to a pre-schooler?
and my favorite...
-"Mom, what's a blog?"

I think no cell phones on a plane is a crock. But, I'm still glad they're not allowed.
What a little smarty pants you have there.
