Flashback Friday

I was thinking back to this time last summer when we had private swimming lessons for two weeks. This was the last lesson and it is as close as Lauryn came to putting her face in the water.



She was so scared. I remember feeling horribly guilty several times when I would come to pick her up and I could hear her crying before I even got to the back yard (the lessons were taught in a pool at someone's home).

I am just thrilled that THIS summer we have overcome that fear to the point where she is playing in the pool on her own, showing me how long she can hold her head under water. We are no where near swimming yet, but at least she's having fun and finally has the confidence she needs!
