Keep in mind when looking at these pictures that we are still in vacation mode. After eating out twice a day for a week, I wasn't exactly ready to jump back in to the whole "homecooked meal" routine. It was almost like culture shock having to fill my own glass and put plates in the dishwasher instead of leaving them on the table and just walking away. We're all going to need a little "vacation detox".
So in an effort to gently ease back into real life mode, I gave my kids mini corn dogs and string cheese for dinner.
They'll survive.
As we were finishing up, I noticed something interesting.
Allison's plate

Lauryn's plate

They both love corn dogs, but clearly for very different reasons! At the end of the meal, Allie left a nice pile of hot dog and just ate the bread. Lauryn carefully removed the bread from each piece and ate every bite of hot dog.
And for a little more obvious comparison, here is what they each looked like after having pudding for dessert.
Lauryn demonstrating her latest picture taking pose - you can just make out the faint traces of chocolate around her mouth.

Allison's face after dessert - no comment.

I will forever be amazed at how two children from the exact same parents can be so different in so many ways! And at the same time they get along amazingly well, and love each other to pieces. I just can't wait to see their little personalities develop even more as they grow!
