Cowtown

Brent is on vacation this week and we're spending the entire week at HOME! It's so much fun to not have to travel. No hotel rooms. No luggage. No choosing between filling up your gas tank or feeding the kids.

Lauryn is spending the first couple days this week with her Grandma and Grandpa, and Allison is having some quality one-on-one time here with Mommy and Daddy. It's hard to explain if you only have one child, but she honestly has never had us all to herself and I was beginning to feel guilty.

It feels strange having her as the only child at home. She asks about Lauryn every five minutes, but I do think she's enjoying all the attention. Lauryn is no doubt having the time of her life. In fact, I heard she was doing quite the impression of the divers she saw on t.v. at the Olympic trials. I'm not sure I want to know what kind of diving goes on in a plastic wading pool in Grandma's backyard, but as long as she comes home without a neck brace, it's fine by me!!

We took Allie to the Stockyards this morning. Without realizing it, we made it there just in time to watch the cattle drive!

We got lots of "Oh, how cute!" comments with this outfit, which is a "Paige Pass Down" (thanks Tracy!)


We had some yummy bbq for lunch and in true fashion, Allie managed to get through the entire meal eating 12 ranch style beans (one at a time with her fork) and a fourth of a cheese slice.

We are missing Lauryn, but we know she'll have some fun stories to tell us when we pick her up!
