Good Times

We had a great holiday weekend, but of course it went by way too fast.

I have to start this off right. By announcing to everyone that I have discovered the greatest invention of all time.

And it is something that you will immediately look at and think..."WHY didn't I think of that?!" (at least I did).

It is called a "Drip Stick". Allison's teacher gave it to each of them as a gift on the last day of school last week. I have no idea where she found it, but I'm sure a little Google search would do the trick. One side holds the popsicle, ANNNND when you turn it over, it has a larger hole that holds an ICE CREAM CONE!!

This thing is complete genius. Her hands were clean. Her shirt was clean. Her shoes were clean. Has that ever, in the history of the world, happened to a 21 month old eating a popsicle in the 90 degree heat?

I doubt it.

So anyway, she loved it. I loved it.

And it doubles as a lightsaber.

We enjoyed spending Sunday afternoon with my parents. They had a small Memorial Day "festival" where they live, including bounce houses. The girls had a blast.

Allie showed off her new monkey skills...

It's always so much fun having Brent home with us on a weekday. He was able to watch Lauryn at her swimming lessons today (only one more to go!)

Later in the afternoon we spent some time eating with friends and just catching up.

We had such a nice holiday, and are so grateful to the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

It looks like you guys had a great time. I am so going to find out where to get one of those popsicle thingies. The girls red, white, and blue outfits are adorable.

No, I didn't make the outfits...but thanks for the confidence! Gotta love Wal-Mart. $3for each piece. I couldn't have made them for that cheap!

We just totally went to Walmart to buy the outfits - but our top is the same print as the skirt...I like y'alls red top better but it was gone. Oh, well! Love it!

Imiation is the best form of flattery, right??
