Yes, I might be crazy

Here we go!

Allie has been telling me lately when she needs a new diaper. She also wakes up dry from naps quite a bit. I figured we'd give it a try and see what happens!

Lauryn was fully trained a month after her second birthday. I realize that was probably not the norm, so we're just going to see how this goes and not get too wrapped up in it.

Although with Lauryn, it was all potty all the time. I wanted to see if I could get her out of diapers before the "new baby" came and lucky for us it worked! I look back and remember hitting potty training full force.

This time around I'll be a little more relaxed. Probably because for some reason, I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing.

Why is it that I am relatively intelligent and have a college degree, but sometime around 4 years ago I was reduced to having about 7 brain cells and can't remember the steps I took to potty train my firstborn child...just two years ago?? This is really starting to become a little scary.

I don't know how long you can technically claim "mommy brain", but I would like a lifetime pass, please. It would make me feel a whole lot better.

Ok. Anyway, Allie loved this potty. She sat on it for 20 minutes before bath time. Every so often she'd stand to check if anything was in the bowl. And then she'd laugh a lot.

This is the same child who would cry and scream if we tried to put her on the regular toilet like Lauryn.

Maybe she's afraid of heights?

I'll update if anything phenomenal happens. Like if Allison stays dry all day. Or if I remember what I ate for lunch yesterday.

Well crap (literally, I guess)! I don't even want to think about potty training Lou yet. I think it also has something to do with the fact that I promised Bethy a pet when Lauren could use the potty!
