We spent Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning camping with our besties, and I can't think of a better way to end our Spring Break! The weather was beyond gorgeous and the girls absolutely loved their first camping experience!
I took a million pictures and had to go ahead and take time to do this today because it won't get done after we're back in the real world Monday morning!
Setting up camp...the kids began playing immediately!

Fun in the camper!
Turtle family
Allie and Rachel were inseparable!
Lauryn and Ethan just hung out the whole time...making up their own games and having a great time!
Watching the resident Eagle Scout at work!
He did it!
More camper fun
The best part was just getting to sit and talk...
...and eat S'mores :)
Lisa, please don't hurt me.
I think Allie enjoyed hers.
Lauryn wanted me to read before bed. We read a few chapters from the Ramona book we've been working on.
Coloring in the morning...great way to start the day.
Going on our hike! Each kid found the perfect hiking stick and those sticks became quite the source of entertainment for the rest of the trip.
Sweet friends!
We went on a letter scavenger hunt...
...and invented our own jungle gym...

More S'mores! What could be better!?
Packing up and saying goodbye to the campsite.
The kids took turns sleeping in the tent each night. Lauryn and Ethan got the first night, Rachel and Allie took the second. It was definitely a first for our girls! The dads were so great to sleep in the tent with the kids, and no one got scared or had to go to the bathroom in the middle night! Somehow Lisa and I managed to sleep in the camper both nights. Not sure how that happened, but...This trip was just what we all needed. Quiet, peaceful time with friends just talking and not doing much of anything. Getting back to normal on Monday morning is going to be rough!! Thanks, Starrs, for an awesome Spring Break trip! Can't wait for the next one!

so fun!!! Did you rent the camper? I'd be all over camping if I could rent a camper...hmmm...you've given me an idea. :)
We had SO MUCH FUN! And I love the pic of us...well, I'll tolerate it anyway. I really think those are the pictures our kids will want to look at when they're teenagers. :) Already looking forward to the next one! (trip that is, not incriminating photo)
