We Want a Do-Over

Soooo, this was pretty much a wasted weekend.

If spring doesn't get here soon, and sickness doesn't go away, I might go crazy.

To summarize a very long weekend, Brent came down with a stomach bug . It lasted just 48 hours but it was brutal, poor thing. In an effort to avoid any contact with him, I made the girls stay in their room Saturday morning...resulting in breakfast in bed!
(Don't you love their self-made wall decor? It's their cute little artwork and I don't have anything to hang on that wall anyway...so the fairies stay for now.)

Anyway, we were supposed to have a family get-together to celebrate my dad's birthday. Obviously that didn't happen, and instead I drove the girls out to my parents' house to continue to shield them from the germs.

They spent the night and I drove back home to take care of Brent. On the way home my throat suddenly caught on fire. It wasn't pleasant. Praying it wasn't strep, I went to bed hoping we would all be better by the morning.

I woke up Sunday morning to realize my throat didn't hurt anymore, but my voice was about 2 octaves lower and I had a horrible cough. After being up for just a few minutes, I got a call from my mom that Lauryn was throwing up. The fun never stops!

I drove out there to pick them up early and she appeared to be fine. She ended up running a fever all day topping out at almost 102 Sunday night. She has just had a low-grade fever this morning, and luckily (for BOTH of us) there haven't been any more stomach issues for her.

So that was pretty much our weekend. Wish there were more happy stories to share.

Did I mention that Allie also had pink-eye?

Yep. Good times.
