Today we are taking it easy and Allie is actually getting a NAP! Something that has been rare in the past two weeks. Not that we haven't been having fun...
Yesterday we had a GREAT time playing with our sweet friends Z and SG! Could these kids be any cuter?!
They were so sweet to invite us over to swim. The kids had a BLAST. And as an added bonus, Lauryn learned how to swim. In about an hour. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it for myself. We could use some work on technique, but she was definitely swimming. It was almost like she was watching Z and it clicked. She had fun jumping off the wall into the "5 FEET part" (she keeps telling me over and over that she can't believe she was in FIVE FEET! :) It was strange to not be right there catching her. I was waiting on the side of the pool to jump in if she needed me. She never did.Today was the last day of swimming lessons! (When did Lauryn's legs get to be 10 feet long??)
Allie had no fear...jumped right in.
She practiced "swimming" with her face in the water (not her favorite thing).
She learned how to float on her back.
And Lauryn got to show off her new skills she learned just the day before...swimming on her own! In her class they had been working on gliding with their face in the water, then turning over on her back. She definitely met the requirements to move to the next level.
Lessons were fun, but it will be nice not to have to be anywhere at 9 a.m. every day. We're looking forward to spending lots of time swimming at Hawaiian Falls and at some of the public pools (Lauryn is begging to jump off a diving board!)For now, we're looking forward to a fun, relaxing Father's Day weekend!

Yay Lauryn!!! Would you believe that's how Z learned to swim last summer? We went swimming at a friend's house and the two other kids swam without Z, while he begged them to swim with him in the spa! LOL! No joke - he was swimming by the next week. It's still a joke among the 3 mamas there to witness it. Nothing like a little peer pressure!
We loved hanging out. Next time she'll be diving for rings! :) Hugs to both your precious girlies!!
