Once every six weeks, two students are chosen to be the "Character Champion"...and today they announced Lauryn's name on the morning announcements (which is apparently quite a big deal!) She was chosen by her teacher because, in Lauryn's words, she "is a good helper and nice to other people".We are thrilled that Lauryn is such a good student academically. But we are more proud that she is also being recognized for her character.

Awesome job Lauryn. Although, i would not doubt she would get the character award with the parents she has! :)
I agree with Meredith. How could she not get the character award? I know you are both proud of her.
I LOVE that schools focus on this kind of thing. I definitely know I never received a character award...but I guess that doesn't necessarily mean one didn't exist.
Please tell her that we are so proud of her...that's a big deal! Sorry we missed you guys this morning, but we're looking forward to Friday.
