When Allie outgrew her crib, we moved the girls into the same room and converted The Cave into my sewing/craft room. I never really thought much about it at first, but after spending so many days in The Cave in the daylight hours working on sewing projects, it started to get a little depressing! I decided on New Year's Day that it was time to convert The Cave to a more happy environment.
Before:
(Do you love how the ill-fitting curtain remained in place all this time? As if being four inches too short on each side was a better alternative to no curtain at all? I'm telling you, this room was IGNORED! And I will fully admit that leaving it there was due to nothing more than laziness on my part!).
I took this picture after I'd already started painting, which is why half of the furniture is in the middle of the room! I wanted to be sure I got a before and after picture.

After:
I didn't take a picture of the desk because it still looks just as messy as the picture above...no point in being redundant. :)
We're taking baby steps, friends. And the hard part is done!
Working in this room is soooo much more enjoyable now! I don't know why I waited this long.Oh yeah...because I had a week with the husband at home so I could actually spend 4 hours painting with no interruption. And did I mention that he helped me with a very large portion of getting this curtain completed and in place?
Yes. He IS amazing.
