Not much can top this one...

So. What did you do this weekend? Mine was pretty typical.
I met a nice girl named Miranda Lambert. She won the ACM award for top album of the year in 2008.

Oh, and then I met the guy who won Entertainer of the Year for four consecutive years in a row. Otherwise known as Kenny Chesney.

Besides that, we had a pretty routine weekend.

Sooooo....
.....not many posts are about me and the things I'm up to. But this one had to be done. I was blessed and fortunate enough to enjoy this amazing experience this weekend! A friend of ours plays in Miranda's band and was generous enough to invite me and another friend to be "guests" at the Kenny Chesney show last night. We were able to go backstage, meet countless band members, managers, and artists, and eat dinner in the same room with all of them. I have been a huge fan of his for years and years, so this was literally the experience of a lifetime for me!

We spent some time on Miranda Lambert's tour bus and ended the evening hanging out at Kenny Chesney's after-party...which resulted in the meeting. It was completely surreal, and I'm still trying to grasp the fact that it really did happen!

One downside was that the weather was horrendous. So bad that by the time Kenny was about five songs into the performance, the show had to be cancelled due to severe weather. The lighting was really scary, and by the time we got inside we looked like we just stepped out of the shower. But everything we experienced up until that moment, and the hours after, completely made up for it!

These are the only pictures I ended up with (toting a camera around backstage wasn't really the "cool" thing to do...kind of like looking like a tourist in a tourist town!) I do regret not taking a picture of our little black Honda...parked snugly between Kenny and Miranda's tour buses thanks to the amazing parking hook-up that also came with the deal! ...Still can't believe this happened!

Standing on the tour bus!

Standing in front of HIS bus!

Holy Cow!!! You are one lucky lady. That is pretty unbelievable! I can't believe you didn't throw cool out the window and take your camera backstage.

Well...it actually wasn't even allowed in some areas. Didn't want to get myself thrown out of there!

I'm thinking your tag needs a small frame and put somewhere on your side of the bathroom. That'll be sure to put a smile on your face everytime you are in there!

I'm so happy that you got to meet him after ALL.OF.THESE.YEARS. And I've had the best time telling your story to anyone who'll listen to me! :-)
