We got to meet baby Madelyn! She is beyond precious...and didn't make a sound the entire time we were there. Sweet baby!
The girls enjoyed sweating spending lots of time outside playing with Sallie the dog and eating lunch at their very own kids' table!

...the flies began to attack, carrying entire hot dog buns away in one quick swoop.
At least that's what you would have thought was happening by the way the girls screamed in terror every time a fly happened by. I'm not sure I understand the fear. These kids dig in the dirt and find worms, snails, and doodle bugs...which they let crawl all over them. They even speak in baby talk to the doodle bugs. Right after they name them.
So, I'm not sure what the deal is with the fly-phobia. I'm hoping they grow out of it. Otherwise it'll be a loooong summer!
Speaking of summer, have I mentioned that it is getting HOT?? Today we were walking from the car to the entrance of Target and Lauryn said, "It's so hot! I sure would love to have a nice cup of cold coffee to drink right now."
Maybe it's time I stop letting her have little sips of my Starbucks Mocha Frappuccinos.

Oh, man - that is awesome that Lauryn wanted some cold coffee. :) I wonder if they offer a kid-sized frap?!? Wish we could have been there.
