Worst blogger ever. What can I say - we're loving every bit of summer but there's just not a lot of interesting blogging material to be shared! I could talk about how we like to be adventurous and spontaneously go to Costco in the middle of the afternoon. Or how the girls can play Lego Friends for hours on end. Fascinating :)

We are really loving having a sweet dog in the house again! Lucy is warming up to us really well - she adores the girls and thinks we're pretty ok, too :)

She has come with her own little set of adventures. When we took her to the vet for the first time (3 days after we got her) she pulled out of her collar in the parking lot because she's terrified of parked cars (apparently) and it was just by God's grace that she didn't take off into the busy highway just behind the vet's office - when she started to run I lunged and grabbed a handful of her fur and held on for dear life - literally!

About a week later, we took her on a walk at the park. When we got there and opened the door, she shot out of the car like a rocket, yanking her leash out of Allie's hand, and took off running down the sidewalk. This time Brent lunged for her, trying to grab her leash, and instead grabbed a good chunk of the pavement.

Again, by God's grace, she suddenly just stopped running and sat down. He walked over to her and got her leash. And we went on our walk.

Always an adventure!

The girls have been so great taking care of her. They play with her, help work on training, feed her, and even let her sleep in their room at night - heaven on earth for sweet Lucy :)

They also love to "groom" her.

Do you think Lucy loves it as much as they do!? (hee hee!)

The 4th of July was lots of fun this year! It was a beautiful, COOL morning, and so much fun to be outside watching the 4th of July parade!

Our traditional spot - going on 4 years on the same corner with the same amazing friends!

We are looking forward to several more long, lazy weeks of summer!

So cute. I guess even dogs have their issues. :)

Hee, I like how Lucy's legs point to the sides when she lays down. Looks like a cutie, even with the "adventures!" :)
