***I was nuzzling Allie last night as I was putting her to bed. Feeling a little sentimental, I asked her, "Are you excited to be four soon?!"


A: "Yes! I wonder what crafts the four year olds do at school."
Me: "Hmmm...I don't know. Probably something REALLY fun because now you're going to be a BIG kid."
A: "Well, I mean I'm not 18 or something. I'm not THAT big".

Well, thank goodness for that!

***Lauryn was asking me all about how B and I first met. She wanted to know what the very first thing I ever said to him was. I had to make something up. (Surely his memory is better than mine?!) In my defense, that was at least 17 years ago and more than likely we were sweating on the drill field in summer band practice. Doesn't really make for good conversation.

***I am ready for school to start only because I've been wanting to sew all day long and feel guilty doing it while the girls are at home. I have tons of ideas in my head and just need a few hours each day to work on them. School days give me just the right amount of time each week to do that. I'm NOT ready to have a first grader and a baby in Pre-K.

***I got this neat idea from my cousin. The goal is to post one picture every day for 365 days. Hopefully it will be a good way for me to look back on the year and remember some of the "ordinary" things that seem to be easily forgotten as the years go by.


It might be interesting for you to see some of the uneventful, routine, random things that go on around here. Or it will bore you to tears. Either way, feel free to bookmark the link and check back daily or just whenever you remember. I will honestly be shocked and amazed if I remember to add a picture every day.
