Catching Up

Whew! SO glad tomorrow is Friday! I will never, ever complain about being too busy because God has blessed me so greatly with our children and an opportunity to be at home and a fruitful business where I GET to work from home...but I'm exhausted!

Sorry for the lack of blogging. I am so behind and meant to post these earlier. With all the birthday attention being showered on Lauryn, I thought I would turn the spotlight on Allie tonight.

She performed in a program at her preschool last week and was SO proud! She posed for a picture before we went inside the building. Now, on both Tuesday and Thursday this week, she asked me to take her picture by the tree when we arrived at preschool. :)

The program theme was "Rodeo Roundup" and they were showing off all the "gross motor" skills they've learned in their P.E. class. I suppose we're lucky to be blessed with a child who is coordinated. I only wish I could post some video of the "bloopers" I was able to witness. Bless their hearts, skipping in a circle just doesn't come naturally to some kiddos!

Here she is waiting for her turn to perform. Her class had to first jump like a frog, then hop like a bunny, then soar like a bird (they spread their arms out wide and turned in big circles and it was just about the cutest thing ever!) It was all set to music and she was totally into it. I love watching her be so sure of herself in front of a big crowd. Definitely not something I was ever comfortable with as a kid!
(This is in the wrong order, but I'm too lazy to fix the pictures!)
Her class had an Easter party and it was precious! Just look at these tables!
Making her craft...
Hunting her eggs...

I'm so incredibly thankful to be able to be home with these girls and attend all of their school activities. I'm soaking up every single minute of my time at home with Allie. This time next year we will have registered her for kindergarten. There is just something almost cruel about how fast they grow in these early years. Once they're in school, they're in school until they are a legal adult. And things are never the same. We only get five years of this time and then it's gone in a flash. Life as we know it changes forever. One minute they're hunting Easter eggs, then we blink, and then suddenly they are choosing colleges and career paths.
In case it isn't painfully obvious, the girls tend to get their flair for the dramatic from their mother.
I will try to update more often next week. We're looking forward to a restful, relaxing weekend. Hope yours is the same!

well...since I'm moving my weekend won't be relaxing..but that's OK!
Allie is so cute. And we are lucky to have this time with our kids. I wish I could remind myself of that more often.

Love the Allie spotlight and I really wish you had that blooper reel. :)

I agree, this time goes by too fast and it's a true blessing to be home with my kiddos and watch them learn and grow. Allie is too beautiful!
