I am still amazed at how someone dressed as a huge fish (or a crocodile or a dog or a starfish for that matter) can stand up on ice skates, let alone spin and jump on the ice!
But I'm getting ahead of myself...
We had a super fun weekend and I'm exhausted! After many long weeks of waiting in anticipation, we had a great reunion with the Glovers and the girls jumped right in like no time had passed. There was no shy-ness, no warming up. There were hugs all around, and then all four girls immediately headed to the playroom!
We enjoyed both lunch and dinner together, and then were off to see Disney on Ice. It looked neat on the tiny little video they had on the website, but it was nothing compared to seeing it live. I was honestly impressed and was more entertained than I ever thought I would be!
They featured The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan. Every character was on ice skates (including all the sea creatures from The Little Mermaid...seahorses and starfish on skates!)
The costumes were amazing, and they had some sweet pyrotechnics going on. Who knew Ariel would come with fireworks?! Inside a building?! I wish I had been able to get some good pictures of the actual show, but my camera hasn't joined this century quite yet, and those particular pictures are nothing but dark, blurry images.
The day was over much too quickly, and the girls rode home asking when Paige and Macy were coming back over to play. I see a road trip in store for this summer!
Macy and Paige were so sweet to bring Lauryn's birthday gift early!
The girls had a great time playing with the dollhouse!
Posing in their Minnie shirts
We couldn't have a reunion without a quick round of dress-up!
Picking flowers before the show
Eagerly waiting for the show to start
Lauryn and Macy
Ariel takes the ice!!!
They had a bubble machine and Allie was tracking the bubbles as they floated up to the ceiling!

Good-bye hugs!

Love those pictures!! We had THE BEST time - Macy keeps talking about those monkeys being "naked". But yes, Ariel stole the show. And all of her sisters were pretty great too. It is so fun to live thru these sweet little girls.
Oh my goodness - the girls all look so old with the matching shirts and jean jackets! I had a flashforward of about 10 years. I can't believe how tall Macy has gotten - really wish we would have been here to hang out with you guys.
How fun for you guys to reunite! Paige looks gigantic. I haven't looked at Tracy's blog forever! They all looked so cute. I was laughing at Brent in both of the pictures where he made an appearance. In the dress up one he looks SOOOO excited. What a sport.
What fun! I remember that Reed arena had something like this the last year I was in college station. And it was fun for an adult! I can't imagine how fun it was for them. I love the look on Lauryn's face when Ariel comes out, priceless!!!
And you're right. How do they do skate in those outfits? I can't ice skate unless I have my arms flailing around for balance. I guess that wouldn't look good in Disney on Ice!
That looks like a blast! I agree w/Linds...also guilty of not looking at Tracy's blog in a LONG time. :( Avery would die to go to something like that, but JD kind of thinks they're stupid....don't worry, I'll wear him down one of these days. :)
I dont know why, but Allie in the dress-up picture is cracking me up!! That wig is hilarious! :)
