I'm learning more every day

Here are some of the latest discoveries I have made about Lauryn:

1). She is becoming competative.

For the past couple of weeks, every time we pull into the garage, Lauryn announces, "YES! I'm the winner! Allison did not win! She's off the team!"

So now, apparently she’s just inventing contests to win. Poor Allison just stares at her, probably wondering why she lost. But most importantly, what sort of team she was on in the first place?

2.) She is quite the fashion critic:
Allie spilled something on her dress at lunch, so I changed her into some cute camouflage pants (made girlie after being decorated with little jewels of course!) and a shirt.

Lauryn studied her over for a minute and then announced, "Hmmm...I kind of don't like those pants. Good thing I didn't get a big ole' stain on MY dress!"

I guess in the future I should just threaten her with wearing camo pants if she's misbehaving.

3). She needs to figure out a new way to wake me up:
At 5:45 a.m. she came bounding into my room and said, "My throat tastes stinky, so I need a drink. So will you get me a drink? Will you??"

4). She is sometimes completely random:

Lauryn got a balloon at her Valentine party at school. When we got home, the girls were playing with it. Allison let go of the string and it floated away. Lauryn responded with a frantic, "She drove her balloon crazy up to the ceiling!!"

5). She is her mother's child:

The other day at lunch, Lauryn finished her first bowl of spaghettios and asked for more. After inhaling the second bowl she started groaning and said, "This is why I shouldn’t ever ask for more…my tummy always hurts from eating too much". She had to go lay on the couch.

I can't tell you how many times I have said those very words to myself after going back one too many times at the Chinese Buffet.

But I can tell you that when pregnant with her, I craved spaghettios and ate an entire can at least 3 times a week for lunch...so she comes by it honestly.

HA. That girl cracks me up.

Owen had that same too full experience two days ago and went to lay in his bed. It was pretty serious.
