Summer is here. Finally.
What's new with us? Well, Lauryn went to volleyball camp in the mornings last week - she thinks she wants to start playing on a team in the fall. I played volleyball in 6th/7th grade, but only because it was required in Athletics at school. I seem to remember getting out on the court once or twice during a game. Typically I was content to sit on the bench and cheer from the sidelines. I wasn't in any hurry to make a fool out of myself, especially at that critical junior high stage when you can make a fool of yourself just walking down the hall to your next class when you run into a pole that somehow just appeared out of nowhere.
Not that I speak from experience.
Anyway, I'm glad she's interested in a sport and hopefully it will be something she enjoys. Time will tell.
Allie started piano lessons this summer! She just had her second lesson yesterday and she is soooo proud :) She practices on her own without being asked, and writes down how long she practiced. Again, I'm hoping it will become something she enjoys and can have fun with.
We have Six Flags season passes, as well as passes to the local water park. We are definitely staying busy this summer! We also have a long list of crafting projects to do.
We celebrated Father's Day in Fort Worth last weekend and found this really neat waterfall at one of the buildings. It was so cool! Literally! The water created a little breeze and the mist felt so good on our faces.
I love these pictures because it shows their personalities perfectly.
Our girls with the most incredible daddy anyone could ever ask for. We are so blessed that he is OURS!
Happy Summer!

Love that Allie keeps a log of her practice time. Sweet girl! And woohoo Lauryn trying a new sport. She is braver than I was :)
