Allison smiled for Santa!
It's truly our own personal miracle, given the fact that exactly one week ago she completely came unglued when Santa visited their preschool. Nothing in the world could have convinced her to sit on his lap, let alone come within 3 feet of the poor guy.
She got a piece of candy anyway, though. As a consolation for all the trauma, no doubt.
Maybe somewhere between then and now, she had a change of heart. As we walked down the mall to find Santa, she looked up at her daddy and said, "I be brave."
Poor baby.
We walked up to him, and she cautiously stood back and waved at him. He waved back. She waved again. He waved back again. You get the idea.
Eventually she went up to him, I put her on his knee, and all was right with the world. She even managed to whisper to him that she wanted a doll stroller.
Lauryn, the ever faithful Santa fan, had no trouble listing exactly what she wanted. He listened politely and gave them a coloring book on the way out. It doesn't get much better than that!
Sorry for the poor picture quality. We don't have a scanner, so I had to resort to the ole' take-a-picture-of-the-picture method.
It gets the point across.
We're so ready for Christmas...their excitement is contagious!
*What is the deal with this spacing??!? Does anyone using blogger have a suggestion!?*

Yea Allie!
This is awesome! Probably the best Santa picture I've ever seen.
Ok, seriously. This is absolutely the best Santa picture I have ever seen! Not only do the girls look precious and happy, but it's a very cute Santa. And mine usually turn out with Santa over to one side of the picture and some kind of annoying decorations taking up the whole other side. Looks like your photographer actually knew how to do it right! I'm not even bothering this year. Bah-humbug.
such a cute picture. And it reminded me that I was totally going to buy one of those christmas shirts for Avery this year. BLAH! I forgot. oh well, there's always next year.
I know I said it before, but this picture turned out great. I would have no idea that she had to psych herself up to see Santa! If only every picture with Santa could turn out this good.
