Sooooo, its been a while. This is the busiest we have been in as long as I can remember. I don't know how to make things slow down. Hopefully the arrival of summer will take care of that for us. I know we are ALL ready for it. Except saying goodbye to our teachers this year. I am not ready for that. But that is another post for another time.

So to get caught up, I'm combining a few events into one post!

Last weekend we went on our annual camping trip with our very best friends, the Starr family. This is our third camping trip with them and we are already excited about next year!

This year we camped the first weekend in May, instead of Spring Break like the past two years. We were concerned about the heat but were hoping since it was EARLY May it wouldn't be too bad.

Well.

Who would have guessed that a strong cold front would bring us THIRTY DEGREE temps in May!? The weather actually ended up being absolutely gorgeous, especially as the sun came up. I will say, though, it was a little chilly at night.  :)

Apparently these have become our official camping shirts. Three years in a row!

And it RIPS my heart out to think of how much these kiddos have grown in just two years. I can't take it!

We had a wonderful time, as always. I love that the girls will have these memories!!

Last week my sweet girl was awarded the "Student of the Week" yard sign! Each week, one child is chosen from each grade level (3rd - 6th grade) to receive the honor of being Student of the Week based on good behavior and character. We are so proud of our girl!

Thursday was Field Day for the girls! Unfortunately a huge thunderstorm blew in right before 3rd grade went out, so Lauryn didn't get to participate that day. Hopefully the weather will cooperate next week on their make-up day.

It was cloudy and cool, but Allie got to participate in her very first field day! She got ribbons for tug-of-war, shuttle relay, over-under relay, and the sack race!

We are in the home stretch as this school year is VERY quickly coming to a close. We're looking forward to a fun summer of just relaxing and enjoying time with friends and family.

Happy Mother's Day weekend to my mom and mother-in-law - WE LOVE YOU BOTH!!!
