Summer is flying by. It happens every year but I am always caught off guard by it. We haven't had many days where we have officially been "bored". Each day has a new adventure, so thankfully we are staying busy and making lots of fun memories!
On a random trip to Kohl's, Allie picked out this shower curtain by herself. We weren't looking for a shower curtain. We weren't even talking about buying a shower curtain at some point in the future. But for some reason, that shower curtain came home with us and before we knew it, we were stripping wallpaper in the girls' bathroom to prepare for our big bathroom re-do! Luckily the sink/cabinets are just fine and we are only texturing and painting. And when I say "we", everyone knows who I am really talking about. What a great guy I married :)
We are having lots of fun, but unfortunately I am documenting it all on my iPhone! The real camera doesn't have a lot of pictures on it, and I haven't had time to take the pictures off of my phone, so these will have to do for now.
We had a great Fourth of July - it was only 97 degrees that day so we were quite comfortable! In fact, it was almost chilly at 7:30 a.m. when we got to our annual spot for the parade!
The girls were like little old ladies, using their umbrellas to protect them from the sun. We were under a tree and very much in the shade, but they were having so much fun so we went with it.
Our besties joined us for the festivities and we went to lunch after - I love our tradition!

I will work on taking more pictures and getting the others off my phone. Hopefully it won't be August before my next post!
