I have to admit that we have watched more movies this week than I am comfortable talking about. I guess sometimes it's ok to give in and let go. Especially when you're too busy coughing up a lung to care about anything else.
I was excited to sit with the girls as they watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory for the first time! I love that movie, and so did they!
Especially this part:
Allie looked up at me smiling and exclaimed, "I wish I could swim in there!"Then she thought for a minute and added, "With my floaties. And you."
Lauryn is proving to be extremely agile, getting around on one and a half feet. She hobbles around on her heel or side of her foot. Her toe is still causing her pain (it bruised all the way through, so the back of the toe is even purple and swollen!) but she's being really brave.
Luckily it isn't actually broken, but the doctor said she'd lose the nail. And it is, quite frankly, pretty disgusting to look at.
Allison is getting excited about her upcoming birthday! She keeps telling me that she is almost three. It just comes up out of the blue, like it's always in the back of her mind.
She has started stuttering a little, which I have read is fairly common around this age. It's nothing serious, but I have noticed it occasionally in the past week or so. It doesn't seem to bother her, but we'll ask the doctor at her check up next month.
I suppose that's about all there is to tell. Being home with nothing to do for an entire week has been interesting. You would think my house would be spotless and all the laundry would be done. I'm trying not to think about it.
Have a great weekend!

Avery went through a couple of weeks of the stuttering thing, and so did Delaney (the little girl I babysat) I think that Avery may have picked it up from her. Anyway, I'm sure she'll outgrow it!
So maybe I missed it, but what happened to Lauryn's toe?!
Hazel went through that right at the same age...in fact, it went on for quite a while. I never asked the pediatrician about it. I just really watched her and came to the conclusion that her little mouth was learning to keep up with her speedy brain. It eventually fixed itself and now she talks a mile a minute!
Agreeing about the stuttering... ZZ did it, too. So did pretty much all the kids in my daycare around this age. Thinking too fast for their little lips I guess!
Glad to hear you guys are feeling better. Stay quarantined until our playdate, okay?
Glad to hear almost everyone is on the mend. So sorry about Lauryns toe. I'm hoping that tomorrow starts a much better week for you all.
